【Kutchan Town】About feeding foxes

Recently, a customer contacted the JR Kutchan i‐Center to inform us that an employee was feeding foxes.
Feeding foxes has the following negative effects on the ecological environment of wild animals and our living environment.

１.Effects of wild animal excrement
　・Off-flavour
　・Outbreak of bacterial infections
　・Staining or damage to vehicles and other property
　・Deterioration of living conditions.
２．Wild animal sounds
　・Noise-induced sleep disturbances and other psychological stressors.
３．Intrusion into the living environment
　・Damage to gardens,traffic accidents.

Cases have been reported in other districts where the above have caused problems with neighbors and resulted in lawsuits.
We would like to ask KTA member to inform their employees.
