[To All Transport Operators] Regarding Passenger Drop-Offs and Pick-Ups Around Hirafu-zaka

As the winter tourism season approaches, Kutchan Town and the Kutchan Tourism Association are working to accommodate the many guests visiting the area.

Route 631 (Hirafu-zaka) and Route 343 experience heavy vehicle traffic, and parking on the roads for the purpose of passenger drop-offs and pick-ups has been causing significant congestion.

If parking on the roads (including temporary stops) for passenger drop-offs and pick-ups continues, we may be forced to consider revoking the "Hirafu Ski Area No. 1 Parking Permit" issued this year, as part of efforts to alleviate traffic congestion in the Niseko area.

We understand that this is a busy time for transport operators. However, we kindly ask for your cooperation in managing traffic in the area by directing transportation vehicles to your company's premises for passenger drop-offs and pick-ups.
