Kutchan Winter Night Go Bus Service in FY2022－23

We would like to inform you of the following information regarding the "Kutchan Night Go" service, which connects downtown Kutchan with the Hirafu area during the winter season.

Details are as follows.

1.Outline of "Kutchan Night Go" service

(1) Operating period: December 15, 2022 (Thursday) to February 28, 2023 (Tuesday)

(2) Service route: Kutchan Station - (via St. Moritz Bridge and Hirafu Welcome Center) - Kabayama Elementary School

(3) Number of services: 4 round trips per day (see timetable for details)　

(4) Operator: Niseko Bus Co.

2. About the Project

This project is being implemented to promote the economy of the Hirafu and Kutchan urban areas, and to provide a means of commuting for people working in the Hirafu area. In addition, we have received a subsidy of 4 million yen from the Town of Kutchan this year.

The goal of the KTA is to have Kutchan Night Go Bus operations earlier in December, and later into spring. Due to Covid, contributions to the bed tax were dramatically reduced, and we have a more limited budget. As we rebound from Covid, the KTA will continue to look for ways to extend the operations of the Kutchan Night Go Bus. Your understanding is appreciated.
