New policy on wearing masks
Infection control measures will enter a new phase on Monday, March 13, 2023. According to the policy of the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, the wearing of masks indoors and outdoors is at the discretion of the individual.
(1) Wearing a mask
Wearing a mask is recommended in the following situations
・medical institution
・Elderly Facilities
・Crowded trains and buses
Mask wearing is recommended for the following persons
・Old people
・Persons with underlying medical conditions
・Pregnant woman
It is possible for a business to require users or employees to wear masks.
(2) Continuation of infection control measures
The following infection control measures should be continued at the request of Hokkaido.
・hand hygiene
・Avoidance of the three tightnesses (hermetic, dense, and close)
・ventilation
(3) If symptoms are present
If you have symptoms, wear a mask and visit a laboratory or medical facility. If you test positive, you will be placed on home leave according to the Guidelines(JP).
