Niseko Model: GO Taxi Service Starts
The Niseko Model Has Started Again This Season!
Since last year, the "Niseko Model" has been implemented in the Niseko area as a solution to address transportation challenges during the winter season and peak periods. The "Niseko Model" utilizes a system of passenger transport outside of regular taxi service areas and remote dispatch calls. It involves dispatching support taxis from operators in other areas and strengthens supply capacity by operating only through the "GO" taxi app for trips that start and end within the Niseko area.
Last season, approximately 80% of riders were repeat customers, with around 90% being inbound visitors. With over 20,000 rides in total, the service received positive feedback. Based on these results, this season, 16 companies and 45 vehicles will be operating.
