【Remind】 Briefing Session on Accommodation Tax Rate Change

Due to the introduction of the Hokkaido Accommodation Tax,
Kutchan Town plans to revise its accommodation tax rate starting in the 2026 fiscal year (Reiwa 8).
This revision aims to secure financial resources to remit the equivalent amount of the Hokkaido Accommodation Tax
to the Hokkaido government and to respond to changes in the social environment surrounding Kutchan Town.

We will hold a briefing session for business operators to explain the tax rate change
and the rationale behind avoiding a mix of fixed-rate and stepwise fixed-amount taxation.
